Vendetta experienced a great amount of success in the late 80s, but mostly in German, where they originate. Their two albums, Go and Live...Stay and Die and Brain Damage, are thrash metal classics of the era, although they're a bit hard to find these days. The group burned out pretty quickly and called it quits, but have re-formed in the 21st century and released their eagerly awaiting reunion album, Hate, on April 21st, 2007.
German is a somewhat angry language, so it's little wonder it's such an effective vessel for death metal. Vendetta put the language to work for them in a big way, and achieved a great deal of success in the 80s for their ability to essentially 'bring the pain.' Their furious melodies and unrelenting energy made their two albums genuine head-banging classics. The early listens from their new album, Hate seem to indicate they're just as angry and loud as ever-we can't wait.
