JuicyBands.com: Under the Flood

Under the Flood is a hardcore rock band that came together in Charlottesville, Virginia way back in 2005. Although the band’s new, these guys have been tight since high school. The band was put together by guitarist, Matt Nadolski, who wanted to start a band, so what did he do? He picked up the phone and called his bff John McCleary to play lead guitar; John was stoked! He joined the band and began to rock out with Matt on a regular basis. When it came to their music style, Matt and John were both on the same page and looking to start their own band. These two were a couple of bad-asses that wanted to rock! Meanwhile, Matt’s younger brother Dave was their biggest fan…lovin’ everything he heard and even memorizing the words. After watching his brother practice long hard hours, getting the riffs just right, Dave Nadolski decided he was interested in singing vocals for the band. Dave began taking voice lessons so he could rock vocals with his big bro in, Under the Flood. Dave then joined Under the Flood as the vocalist and together; the three of them were killin’ it! After long hours of practice, they joined together and decided they needed a bad ass bass player who could rock out and slam bass like a champ; that’s when Matt called his other long time pal, Kenn Davis. He called him up and invited him to join the band. Due to the fact that Ken had been looking for the right band for quite sometime, he was totally stoked to join Under the Food and the guys were happy to have him! After-all before joining Under the Flood, Ken was in the rock band: Candece with American Idols own; Chris Daughtry. Candece broke up long before American Idol, but Ken didn’t care; he stayed on top of his killer skills and kept rockin' out! After finding such a bad ass to slam on bass, they came to realize their band was pretty damn awesome! The four of them we’re doing some big things and had some big ideas. Then they came together once again and decided they needed a kick ass drummer that was on the same page; someone that knew how to rock the drum set. That’s when Matt went to hunt down Justin Hayden and gave him the opportunity to rock out with a bad ass bunch of rock stars. Justin was all about it and started practicing with Under the Flood immediately. The five of them got to work on some killer material and were practicing day and night; until they got the sound exactly where they wanted it. That being said, these guys have known each other forever; they’re close as peanut butter and jelly.
In the summer of 2006 they signed with KOCH Records and hit the studio to record their first debut album, “The Witness”. The current lineup includes, Matt Nadolski and Brandon Sidebottom rockin' out on guitar, Kenn Davis killin' it on bass and Justin Hayden rockin' the drums. These cats, wrapped up production for their rockin’ album "The Witness” and the bad ass album was released May 13, 2008. It's currently available everywhere from, I-Tunes to Best Buy to any other place you could possibly imagine. After releasing their album, they hit the road with heavy touring and they’re currently on, “The Most Wanted Tour”; headlining with Nonpoint, The Exies, Deepfield and hard rock mainstay, Egypt Central. That being said, these guys are touring with some bad ass bands; they’re practically freakin’ legends! The album features bad ass songs like, “In Vain” featuring; killer guitar riffs and a sound that draws you in and almost leaves you hypnotized …….. If that’s not enough, their kick ass song, “In Vain” is getting played every where, from radio to satellite…these guys are kickin’ some serious ass! With amazing energy, you gotta see to believe; these guys are killin' it left and right, on tour and on stage! In other words, what are you waiting for, get out there and catch a show!
