Signal is a four piece rock/alt band that came together in the small town of South Bend Indiana in 2001, but has been practicing together since way back in 1997. They’ve all been in bands prior to Signal since 1997, including Out of Season, Forearm Shiver, Dead on Sunday and Digpin. Although all in different bands they met up constantly, performed together and got to know one another, sharing the stage together and later coming together to form their own rock band, known as Signal in 2001.
The current lineup includes Jamie Bosstel killin’ it on vocals and guitar, Steve Dickson rockin’ out on lead guitar, Josh czuk slammin’ on bass and Tony Lloyd kickin’ ass on drums, percussion and programming.
They spent 3 years perfecting their sound as a band; rockin' out at Clubs, parties and any other gig they could get. They became an instant success in their hometown of South Bend Indiana and began playing all over town before opening for the bad ass rock band Sponge in 2004. Everyone watched wide eyed in amazement as Signal took the stage and killed it; one song after another. They quickly began headlining shows with other rock bands but constantly ended up standing out amongst the rest; with killer songs like Utopia, Love and Violence and the emotion filled "Livin a Lie" you can't help but notice this kick ass band. After putting in extensive long hours and performing at show after show, they began to build up an impressive resume. Their killer songs were being noticed left and right and the band was marking its stay; impressing people on a regular basis which later lead them to open for the kick ass rock band, Local H. People loved what they heard, their name was quickly getting out there and before they knew it, they received sponcership from jagermeister and ended up on the Jager tour with a bunch of other bad ass bands including Staind, Three Days Grace and Hurt in 2006. They kicked ass on the tour and were invited back on the Jagermeister tour in 2007; opening for the rock band, The Cult. So far they’ve opened for Stained, Three Days Grace, Papa Roach, Powerman 5000, Local H, Blackstone Cherry and that’s just to name a few.
They’re currently unsigned but many labels are taking a closer look at Signal and taking notice of their killer tunes. With 3 CD’s under their belt, they’re currently working on a 4 song EP which is going to blow you out of the water, with amazing acoustic sets and a dvd music video which will be included with the EP and include all 4 songs. With that being said, who knows what's in store for Signal this year, they've already been recognized, performed with some well known artists and have a tun of record labels keeping a close eye on them, so be on the look out for Signal this year!
