ROB ZOMBIE: "'H2' Will 'Blow Away' 'Halloween' Remake!"

Rob Zombie began principal photography on Monday (February 23) for his sequel to "Halloween", tentatively titled "H2".

The follow-up to the rocker-turned-director's 2007 hit remake of the horror classic is due out at the end of August. Zombie posted on his blog that, "we made it through the first three days. Everything is going great. This film is going to blow away my last trip to Haddonfield. Ultra-gritty, ultra-intense and very real. Here is a sneak peek [see below] of Laurie moments after being wheeled into the ER."

They're currently shooting the movie "H2" in Georgia.

Zombie said in one recent interview that the new film will focus less on serial killer Michael Myers and more on his sister, Laurie; played by Scout Taylor-Compton.

As for Rob Zombie himself, he recently finished recording his next studio album and plans to release the album in either late summer or early fall 2009.

Rob Zombie's debut solo album, "Hellbilly Deluxe" was released on August 25, 1998. The CD's title is a play on the DWIGHT YOAKAM album "Hillbilly Deluxe". The LP was re-released in 2005 with a bonus DVD containing a music video for every song as well as brand-new artwork!

In A Jacuzzi With JOHN 5 (ROB ZOMBIE/ex-MARILYN MANSON Guitarist)

John 5 (ROB ZOMBIE/ex-MARILYN MANSON guitarist) recently posted a track from his upcoming remix CD, "Remixploitation". Check out the song "Dorsia" on his myspace.

John 5 has just released the IMV "Behind the Player" DVD in which he gives an intimate behind-the scenes look at his life as a professional musician, including exclusive rare photos and video footage. John 5 then gives in-depth lessons for how to play "Let it All Bleed Out" and "Lords of Salem" by ROB ZOMBIE on guitar and rocks out to the tracks with ROB ZOMBIE drummer, Tommy Clufetos.

John 5 issued his fourth solo album, "Requiem", on June 3, 2008 via 60 Cycle Hum.
He performs all instruments with Rob Zombie bandmate, Tommy Clufetos kickin' ass on drums! The album was recorded in the middle of the night and most of the songs are 12-13 minutes long. He decided to put in markers to divide them up so when songs change from track to track it seems to meld in to each other.

ROB ZOMBIE/ex-MARILYN MANSON guitarist John 5 recently invited "The Metal Scene" TV show into his home for an interview and some guitar lessons. The 32-minute episode, which features host Jasmin St. Claire chatting to John 5 at his Jacuzzi with his fiancée Rita, can be viewed below.
