Program The Dead came together in Los Angeles, CA. In 2004. The band's lineup includes front man Matt Koruba, guitarist Nico Constantine, bassist Tom Kafafian and drummer Dave Murga. Known for their classic rock sound and swagger these bad boys came together and know how to rock out! In 2005, Program the Dead signed briefly with Universal Records, releasing their self-titled debut on October 25th of that year. The label gave the record a "soft release", while focusing on label mates and fellow new comers Hinder and 10 Years. The band went in search of something bigger and better and eventually said, “Fuck It!” and dropped their label. These bad boys left the label shortly after the release and began working on their own independent album. The band was touring throughout the US and the UK through most of 2006, and began writing a number of songs, some of which ended up on their second album, Ginger. The band's original bassist Johnny McClay left the group before they could come out with their independent album and they enlisted the assistance of their long time friend William DuVall, to fill in on bass and help produce their new album. Ginger features a cover of Hello, I Love You by The Doors. The album was recorded by Jeff Bakos at Bakos Studio in Atlana, GA. The album was released independently and made available for free stream on Altsounds and sold digitally through iTunes and eMusic. In the months following the release of Ginger, Program the Dead played all throughout California and then played a show in Austin, TX during SXSW07. Program the Dead returned to Los Angeles for a string of shows before relocating to Atlanta, GA. The band has not said how long they will remain in Georgia, but the band began selling out venues almost immediately as soon as they got there. These bad boys are some serious performers and know how to kick some ass! They’ve shared the stage with some killer bands such as, RA, Buck Cherry, HIM, Halestorm and The 69 Eyes throughout both the US and UK. These guys are continuously writing new material, touring and kicking ass, selling out venues around the world. With rockin’ songs like, Psycho Teenage Lust and 40number2, you can’t help but love these guys! These guys are straight up awesome; I would definitely recommend checking them out live!
