GENE SIMMONS Slams CARLOS SANTANA!

KISS bassist/vocalist Gene Simmons who's known for being a dick, is still getting his panties in a bunch over some lame comment Santana made 4 years ago! Simmons had some harsh words for Carlos Santana during a Thursday morning (June 11, 2009) interview on FOX5 News: Live In Las Vegas.

When asked about plans for an upcoming KISS album, Simmons talked of plans for a new tour and out of nowhere, took a swipe at Hard Rock headliner Santana! "It's time for us to go out and show the little boys how the big boys do it," the 59-year-old said. "I'm sick and tired of these bands like Carlos Santana looking at his shoes and thinking that's a rock concert. Get off the stage," Simmons said.

There has been an ongoing feud between Simmons and Santana since 2005 when Santana questioned Simmons' musical ability and labeled him "Las Vegas entertainment." (which is pretty funny because Santana's the one performing in Vegas!) Santana said, "Simmons is not a musician, he's an entertainer. (A musician is an entertainer idiot! ..just sayin') He went on to say, "A musician is John Coltrane, Bob Marley. KISS is Las Vegas entertainment, so he wouldn't know what music is anyway. That's why he wears all that stuff. A musician doesn't need the mask and the mascara. There's a difference between an entertainer and a musician." NEWS FLASH! Musicians are entertainers, if you expect to sell out shows you can't just stand there like a moron... just throwing that out there!

I think it's pretty funny that Simmons is still mad 4 years later over something so stupid! Obviously, Santana realizes how dumb he sounded after he made that idiot statement 4 years ago, due to the fact that musicians are entertainers! These two grown men are getting their panties in a bunch and acting like little girls! It's been 4 years Simmons, you're 60, look 70 and act like a 5 year old,  GET OVER IT!

GENE SIMMONS Sells Kidney Stone For Charity!

World Entertainment News Network reports that KISS bassist/vocalist Gene Simmons has raised $15,000 for a good cause — by selling a kidney stone he passed in a bizarre online auction. Eww, talk about disgusting!! I think I just threw up in my mouth!

Simmons reveals he recently suffered the ailment, but came up with a unique use for the solid formations of urinary minerals after passing it through his body. He says, "I passed a kidney stone and I put it on eBay for charity. (I got) $15,000."

While it's cool that Gene raised $15,000 for charity, it's pretty damn disgusting that someone would actually want a flipping passed kidney stone. That's just gross! What happened to putting a guitar or a t-shirt up for the highest bidder? Maybe next time he gets sick, he can put his vomit in a jar and sell it on e-bay for charity, now there's an idea!

DR. PEPPER and GENE SIMMONS Join Forces!

Music Industry Analyst Calls GENE SIMMONS An 'Asshole' And A 'Weasel'

One of the music industry's most influential online analysts Bob Lefsetz and KISS bassist Gene Simmons, took part in a heated debate yesterday. The heated debate took place in the main ballroom at the Royal York Hotel in downtown Toronto, Canada.

 

Shortly after taking Simmons on in a battle of words, Lefsetz sent out the following message via e-mail regarding his conversation with Gene Simmons:
"What an asshole. You can make your own decision who was victorious, I'm sure clips will surface on YouTube. But what stunned me was who this guy was. I truly believed he had another, more human side underneath, that maybe he could let down his guard and laugh at himself. I was wrong. I'd like to tell you our debate was an endless discussion of the issues. Instead, it was constant put-downs of me... My name, my appearance, my experience, my mother. I can handle it, but the relentlessness and the refusal to lighten up completely stunned me. Asshole wouldn't even shake my hand at the end, disappeared like the weasel he truly is. Dick Cheney's got nothing on Gene Simmons.

It would surprise me if Gene Simmons was actually nice to anyone...that would be surprising! Looks like Gene let his enormous ego take over again! I interviewed Gene Simmons last year and he was a real piece of work, to say the least.

GENE SIMMONS Reveals First New KISS Album Song Title!

 
KISS bassist/vocalist Gene Simmons recently stated that the band's first studio album in more than a decade will include a shit load of songs! "For the most part, it will be songs about the obvious things" said Simmons, revealing the first title of the new Kiss album as: "Rotten To The Core", "No secret to life, no political messaging, nothing like that," he says of the lyrics.

Simmons confirmed KISS' first album since 1998's "Psycho Circus" will be produced by singer/guitarist Paul Stanley. "I don't have enough time to tie my shoelaces and there's nobody else I trust more than Paul," says Simmons.

Stanley told RollingStone.com last year that he takes pleasure in knowing his art reaches different crowds — both KISS fans and art collectors.

"I see people at the gallery who will never go to a KISS show and people at a KISS show that will never go to the gallery. And then there are some people in between," he said. His pieces, mostly four-by-five foot acrylics done in bold colors with intense strokes, brought in $2 million in 2007. His originals fetch as much as $70,000, with limited-edition prints going to $1,000. Even KISS co-founder Gene Simmons, known more for his shrewd business practices than for his eye for art, bought one of Stanley's works titled "Statue of Liberty". "The monetary aspect validates it that much more for him," Stanley said.

When asked by INsite magazine what encouraged or prompted him to pick up the brushes and begin painting at this stage of his life, Stanley said, "About six or seven years ago I was getting divorced and I really, like many people in that position, had a lot going on and a lot that maybe needed to get released. A friend of mine, my best friend, said that I needed to paint and my having never really applied myself to painting, somehow that connected with me and I went out and bought canvasses and paints and brushes and all kinds of other supplies and just decided to throw caution to the wind. The only thing that I was clear on from the get-go was that I wasn't interested in making a flower pot look like a flower pot. I was more interested in painting a reality that didn't necessarily have to be a literal or visual depiction of something so I wanted to approach it more of a stream of consciousness, where perhaps instead of using words I was using colors and textures to put my emotions, or what was going on inside me, on canvas. It was purely a relief and, I guess, cathartic therapy for me that once other people started seeing clearly connected with them."

KISS Burger Pitch Unmasked and Revealed!

Kiss frontman Gene Simmons has branded and pitched everything from condoms to coffins...

So.....when a bizarre online site about Kiss Burgers recently surfaced, we wern't nearly as shocked as we should have been! It seemed the business plan was too good (and too weird) to be true. Here's how they pitched their ad campaign for these new KISS Burgers:

“For nearly three decades fans from all over the globe have been trying to get Kiss meat in their hands and into their mouths,” reads the Website, allegedly authored by Simmons. “Well now is your chance. At Kiss Burger, we want to put our meat inside you.”

That made me laugh, it didn't at all sound like a rock star's venture to burgers, but instead it sounded like a cheesy line from a porn script...so, we did a little research and made a call to the KISS Burger Hotline! The hotline revealed the geniuses behind the prank have directed all incoming calls to the owners of a West Hollywood porn palace called Studs Theater! A five-theater movie-plex offering “new and classic, gay and straight, adult entertainment".
That's what we all expected...right, so let me ask you this, surprised? I think not!

And what about all those other local burger joints and national burger chains...interested? “That guy from McDonalds? I did some research. He’s a mime, not a clown. Clown’s talk, mimes don’t. Next!”
