Darkest Hour came together in 1995 and rocked out for several years before
launching themselves into the Death Metal scene. Led by vocalist
John Henry, the group wouldn't release a debut album until 5 years
after their formation. Unfortunately, their label went under shortly
after their album release, but the band found themselves re-signed to a
different label quickly there after and they were able to release their follow-up
just one year later. Their most recent effort was, 2005's Undoing Ruin, which they dropped in 2005.
Each of their albums finds the band improving bit by bit,
delivering increasingly complex and musically capable Grind core by the
truckload! Their songs have the familiar feel of your average Death
Metal band, but what they lack is a completely distinctive sound, but these bad boys have their act together! They
more than make up for what they lack in songwriting and technique alone, which is hard to say for a lot of bands.
