Coldplay Denies Satriani's Copying Claim In Court

Coldplay has denied in federal court that it copied parts of Joe Satriani's music for its hit song, "Viva La Vida."

In a response filed in Los Angeles on Monday, attorneys for Coldplay's band members also argued that any similarities between "Viva La Vida" and Satriani's "If I Could Fly" weren't enough to warrant damages. READ MORE

Coldplay have announced the full schedule for its North American summer tour, an extended run that starts May 15, 2009 in West Palm Beach, Fla. and ends up back in Tampa, Fla. on August 6, 2009.

Coldplay Hitting Amphitheatres On Summer Tour!

Coldplay will kick off a North American summer tour July 10, 2009 at the Clark County Amphitheater in Portland, OR. So far, 14 dates are set through early August; with more to be announced!

Tickets for concerts in San Diego, Toronto, Charlotte, N.C. and Raleigh, N.C., go on sale Feb. 13. Tampa, Fl., and Houston go up Feb. 21. All other dates go on sale Feb. 14.

Coldplay is up for seven Grammys on Sunday! Including album of the year for 2008's "Viva La Vida or Death and All His Friends" and song of the year for "Viva La Vida!" READ MORE...
