Cinder Road is a rock band from Lutherville, MD which formed in September 2005, when neighbors Mike Ruocco and Chris Shucosky decided to get together and form a band; they found and added Pat Patrick, Nat Doegen and Mac Calvaresi to complete the band and got to work.
After long hours of perfecting their tunes, the band deceided to name themselves Cinder Road, the name of the street in which they grew up on.
Cinder Roads lineup includes frontman/vocalist/guitarist Mike Ruocco,Chris Shucosky and Pat Patrick kickin' ass on guitar, Mac Calvaresi workin' it on the drums, and Nat Doegen on rockin' out on bass.
Cinder Road began rockin' out at clubs, colleges, parties and any other gig they could get. They became an instant success in their home town of Lutherville, MD. and began playing all over town; playing as many as 6 show a week while still in High School. Then all this sudden…they caught the attention of you guessed it, Union Entertainment Group; the management team behind multi-platinum rock band Nickelback and next thing they knew, they had a record deal with EMI Records. Cinder Road was excited and ready to rock out as they worked their butt off with music producer Marti Fredriksen on their album Superhuman; which is their most recent album to date and features killer songs like, Get in Get Out and Should’ve known Better. Their album Superhuman was released in 2007 and they were stoked to get it out there and let people hear their rockin' tunes.
Cinder Road's 1st single, "Get In Get Out" rocked the charts and jumped to #5 in the top 10 on the rock charts. The song also had a 14 week run at #1 on the Sirius Radio Octane Countdown, that’s almost a straight 4 months at #1 people!
Crazy as it sounds, that's just how they roll.
With up-tempo songs, catchy lyrics and tunes that rock you can’t go wrong with this album. After releasing Superhuman in 2007, these bad boys jumped right on their bus and were ready to get the show on the road! They set out on a non-stop tour, going everywhere from Canada to Key West even oversea trips to Southeast Asia playing high-profile shows from the Armed Forces Entertainment which led them to Japan, Korea, Guam, Greenland and Guantanamo Bay Navel Base.
The year was 2007 and Cinder Road just got back from a non-stop tour when they got the news they were taking off on another tour; this time with Chris Daughtry (American Idol finalist who also has an album of his own).
While Cinder Road was away on their previous tour, Cinder Roads mgmt team and Daughtrys mgmt team got together and as soon as Daughtry's team heard Cinder Road’s album, they were impressed and thought they'd be a kick ass band to tour with. Cinder Road packed up right after returning home and set out on tour with Daughtry. They rocked from L.A to New York, everywhere in between and back again.
Aside from the slot on Daughtry’s sold-out winter tour, the band has also toured with rock masterminds like Candlebox, Sick Puppies and most recently Hurt. The band ended 2007 on a killer note; opening for Puddle of Mudd on several high profile west coast shows and headlining the infamous LA rock bar The Viper Room, before kickin' off 2008 on tour with Tesla. These guys are always on the go constantly touring 24/7, always finishing up one tour to go on another. After all that touring they wern't done yet, they got back and were ready to go out there and kick some serious ass rockin' out with rock band RED on a spring 2008 tour around the U.S.A.
They’ve gained an enormous fan base, respect among the music industry, their peers and their fans as well. If that's not enough, they've recently (April 2008) been announced as the opening act for legendary KISS as they embark on a European tour. That’s gonna be awesome, KISS people! That group’s a flippin’ legend and Cinder Road alongside! That’s gonna be off the hook…to bad it’s in Europe, hey who knows maybe they’ll even do a follow up here in the states, now that would be insane!
