Bassist Alex Webster of Florida-based death metallers CANNIBAL CORPSE has issued the following update:
"We've
been on the road in the USA and Canada for around two weeks and so far
the tour has been completely killer. Attendance has been great at all
of the shows, with two of the shows selling out completely (Tulsa and
Edmonton). The fact that we have such a kick-ass lineup of bands on the
tour (The Faceless, Neuraxis and Obscura) has to be contributing to the great success of the tour. We
just finished a show in Winnipeg and it was another amazing audience
like the rest of the shows so far on the tour. Of all of the shows so
far the Winnipeg gig probably had the most stage diving, so we were
dodging flying bodies throughout our performance... it got pretty crazy
up there at times, but it really added to the energy of the show. Tomorrow
we head to Thunder Bay, a city we have only played once before if I
remember correctly. That was back in 2004 and we had a great time then
so we expect more of the same tomorrow. After Thunder Bay, we're
heading down into the States for a few shows, then back up to Canada
before working our way back down the East Coast to our home state
Florida. "We want to thank all of the fans that have come out to
the shows so far, and we look forward to seeing the rest of you at the
upcoming shows of the 'Evisceration Plague' tour. Until then, stay brutal!!!"
