American rock band, are premiering their new video for “Rescue Me,” on Yahoo Music today!
The band recently scored their first Top 10 album on the
SoundScan/Billboard 200 album chart with BLACK BUTTERFLY, the much-anticipated follow-up to 2006’s
RIAA-certified platinum 15.
BLACK BUTTERFLY
debuted at #8 on the chart, the highest debuting rock album!!
“Rescue Me” follows up the highly
successful “Too Drunk to Fuck” video, which premiered on Playboy.com and
received over 100K views.
The band returns with their
eagerly awaited fourth album, “BLACK BUTTERFLY.” The album – which
follows 2006’s RIAA platinum-certified blockbuster, “15” – is available now in
stores. If you liked “15,” you’ll love “BLACK BUTTERFLY.”
“Too Drunk…,” the slinky
first single from “BLACK BUTTERFLY,” is currently blowing up at multi-format
radio outlets nationwide. The track is a top 10 smash at Active Rock,
while also coming in this week at #11 with-a-bullet at Mainstream Rock.
What’s more, “Too Drunk…” is currently bulleting its way up the top 30 at
Alternative outlets across the country.
“Too Drunk…” has also become
a viral sensation. To date, the track has registered nearly 700,000
streams at Buckcherry’s MySpace page, www.myspace.com/buckcherry, while its down and dirty companion video has logged
close to 200,000 views at Buckcherry’s official You Tube channel, www.youtube.com/buckcherryvideos. The “Too Drunk…” clip is now in rotation at
FUSE, where Buckcherry recently appeared on an installment of the popular No.
1 Countdown. The band was also featured on VH-1’s Top 20 Countdown
from the Crüe Fest tour.
To celebrate the release of
“BLACK BUTTERFLY,” Buckcherry relaunched their official site, www.Buckcherry.com.
Among the highlights to be found on the full-service site is the companion
video to the album’s next single, “Don’t Go Away.”
Rightly renowned as true
hard rock road warriors, Buckcherry kicked off a major North American tour last
week, with shows slated through mid-October (see itinerary below). The
tour – originally billed as co-headline dates with Avenged Sevenfold, who
regrettably were forced to cancel their performances – sees support from
Shinedown and Saving Abel.
“BLACK BUTTERFLY” –
co-produced by Buckcherry’s own Keith Nelson and longtime Aerosmith
collaborator Marti Frederiksen (the co-writer of Buckcherry’s top 10 smash,
“Sorry”) – is being offered in a selection of formats: a standard CD
package; a “Limited Fan Club Edition” version, which comes with bonus tracks
and a one-year membership to the Buckcherry Fan Club; and a “Limited Fan Club
Edition” bundle which adds a “BLACK BUTTERFLY” T-shirt to the previous
package. For more information, visit www.Buckcherry.com.
Buckcherry has received
extensive coverage in a wide array of national publications, including a recent
Billboard cover story which declared the band to be “a platinum-plated
redemption story, years in the making.” Additional features have appeared
or will appear in Blender, Revolver, Guitar World, Men’s
Fitness, Modern Drummer, Metal Edge, Penthouse, and Hit
Parader.
Powered by four enormously
successful multi-format hit singles, “15” firmly established Buckcherry’s
status as
America’s
preeminent hard rock outfit. “Crazy Bitch” – the album’s Grammy Award-nominated
first single – caused a radio riot upon its 2006 release, reaching #2 at
Mainstream Rock and #3 at Active Rock. A string of further rock and
alternative radio hits followed, including “Next 2 You,”“Everything,” and the
CHR/Top 40 crossover smash, “Sorry.” The singles all exploded online,
with cumulative digital sales now surpassing three million. In addition,
“Crazy Bitch” spent over a year in the Nielsen Ringscan Top 30. The track
has since been certified as a Platinum Master Ringtone by the RIAA.
Buckcherry spent nearly two
full years on the road, performing more than 300 live shows in support of
“15.” More recently, the band lit up stages nationwide at this summer’s
“Crüe Fest,” a multi-artist bill which also included Mötley Crüe, Papa Roach,
SIXX: A.M., and Trapt.

Multi-Platinum Eleven Seven rock band, Buckcherry debuted their "Don't Go Away" video on MSN Music last week from their brand NEW album, Black Butterfly (which hits stores 09.16.08). Here's their new video for "Don't Go Away"
Buckcherry recently finished their summer stint on Crüe Fest (alongside Mötley Crüe, Papa Roach, Sixx:A.M. and Trapt) during which they played to over half a million rock fans in just over two months! Talk about getting the show on the road; these guys went out and did some major non-stop touring this year and they had so much fun, they're ready to get out there and do it all over again! Their next tour will be with Avenged Sevenfold and will begin in early September. (www.Buckcherry.com for more details)
Buckcherry is a hard rock band formed in L.A, CA. in 1995, disbanded in summer 2002. They then rejoined in 2006 and came out with their hit song, Crazy Bitch which hit #1 on the charts.. Their biggest inspirations included, Aerosmith and Guns N Roses. They made it big they signed with Atlantic Records in 1999. They did a kick ass non-stop tour last year and performed at more then 200 shows! After the tour Buckcherry released a new single, "Everything" and soon after that they released, "Crazy Bitch" which reached #1 on the charts! They had so many fans already and with the new releases and recent tours their fan base grew even more. "Crazy Bitch" also became the #1 most downloaded rock ring-tone, in the USA. Their new album let everyone know they were still alive and kickin and people were loving it! The album marked the return of Buckcherry after a lengthy hiatus that followed the group's 2001 set, "Time Bomb." Their new music was all over MTV as well as radio stations across the country. Guitarist Keith Nelson previously said that business and personality conflicts caused the temporary break up, but that he and singer, Josh Todd eventually renewed their friendship and music relationship. Three new members came onboard with the new album: guitarist Steve D, drummer Xavier Muriel and bassist Jimmy Ashhurst. Vocalist Josh Todd leads this high-energy act into battle with the colossal one-two-three punch of "So Far," "Next 2 You," and "Out Of Line," each anchored by the weighty rhythm section of drummer Xavier Muriel and bassist Jimmy Ashhurst, then elevated by the Olympian guitar attack of Keith Nelson and Stevie D. But while an appropriate levity prevails on those tracks and others--such as "Crazy Bitch," "Broken Glass," and the good time stomp "Brooklyn"--the band also found time to show a more sensitive and mature side, with the hit-worthy and country-inflected "Carousel," plus the unapologetically melancholy "Sorry." If there's a fault to be found on their album, 15...it doesn't reveal itself easily. If there's a fault to be found with Buckcherry it is perhaps that they imbue listeners with a zest for living. These bad boys clearly know how to rock the house and that's obviously not a crime, these bad boys just like Rocking out! They keep getting better and better with each album, I wonder what's in store for Buckcherry after the new year.
