Another Black Day is one of hard rocks fastest rising acts; the band originated in Fort Lauderdale, Florida in 2006 and consists of Matt Wilkof killin' it on lead vocals and guitar, Angel Hernandez rockin' it on drums, Das Haas on bass, and Ernesto Paez rockin' out on lead guitar. Each member contributes their own sound and feeling to the music, leaving the end result one of a kind, original and almost memorizing.
This four-some came together when Das Haas and Angel Hernandez found Matt in a rag mag and stole kick ass guitarist Ernesto Perez from another band. Put these four together and you have one hell of a rock band!
The band’s current line-up was finalized in the summer of 2004 and has been going strong ever since. With countless shows played, two EP’s under their belts (and a full length album which will be released May 20, 2008), constant radio airplay, and a rapidly growing fan base, Another Black Day knows how to rock the fuck out and come out on top. With that being said, the band is gaining recognition and respect amongst their peers and in the music industry worldwide.
Another Black Day signed on with Bieler Bros. Records in April 2007. They first started getting plays in Denver because Willie B. from rock station KBPI has a relationship with the bands management company, Mars Management. As soon as he played the hit, people went insane and the phone was ringing off the hook with requests for the new song "Wicked Soul."
Their kick ass self-titled debut CD will be released May 20, 2008  and their first single "Wicked Soul" can be heard on every radio station you could imagine and also purchased exclusively in iTunes.
Another Black Day’s epic new single, "Wicked Soul" is quickly becoming one of the most talked about new songs in radio. It’s a kick ass song and people can’t get enough of it!
In support of their new album these bad boys are currently touring with some major names on the Your Enemy Tour. Headlined by hard-rock mainstays, DROWNING POOL, NONPOINT and Tennessee’s EGYPT CENTRAL, these guys are bound to make an impression in 2008! They will also be playing at the 15th annual Wing Ding with Chevelle, Theory of a Deadman, and Drowning Pool on May 25, 2008 in Rockford, Illinois. These guys know how to kick some serous ass and this is definitely a line up not to be missed!
In addition to its early support from radio, Another Black Day has been no stranger to floods of fan support, having “WICKED SOUL” destroy bands such as Neurosonic and Sick Puppies in head-to-head battles. Most recently, “WICKED SOUL” was thrown into battle with radio favorite, RED’s new single, “ALREADY OVER” on the nationally syndicated hard-drive radio. “WICKED SOUL” wasted no time showing why it is building a buzz as a sure-fire hit, grabbing an early lead in the week long battle and defeating RED by over 60% of victory.
These guys are in it for the long hall, they’ve got what it takes and have already impressed everyone in the music industry as well as listeners world wide.
After becoming one of the most played tracks of 2007 on KBPI in Denver, Another Black Day’s epic, first single, “Wicked Soul” has begun to stake its claim in 2008, climbing charts rapidly and constantly being played on top rock stations; from radio to satalite these guys are kickin’ ass!
The band has already been featured on numerous radio shows and has everyone in the rock industry turning heads to check them out. They’re style is very interesting and their songs will definitely reel you in and leave an impression.
"Wicked Soul" is a world wide phenomenon and is now available on iTunes through a special iTunes pre-release! The song is also featured on Another Black Day’s self-titled debut album Another Black Day; which hits stores nationwide on May 20, 2008.
