KILLSWITCH ENGAGE's self-titled fourth album is available for streaming in its entirety on the band's MySpace page. Due on June 30, 2009 via Roadrunner Records. The album was produced by Brendan O'Brien & co-produced by guitarist Adam Dutkiewicz.

CHILDREN OF BODOM Bassist Checks In From The Road!

Bassist Henkka Seppälä (a.k.a. Henkka T. Blacksmith) of Finnish metallers CHILDREN OF BODOM has issued the following update from the road:

"In the beginning of the summer, we went to Janne's [Wirman, keyboards] small studio and recorded a couple of new cover songs for the forthcoming cover album. The songs turned out really good. Especially the slower song, that seemed to be a little hard to arrange. Then we kept on doing the festivals, as planned. Provinssirock, was good, even though we played soooo late. 'I hate these Finnish mosquitos!' as our German friend used to say. Then we went to hot Spain. Zaragoza city is beautiful, but it was very windy. Again we played very late, and the wind just kept getting stronger. We had to really choose our steps carefully on stage in order not be blown down by that wind. It was surreal. But it was good to be in Spain again, after a couple of years break." He went on to say, "Today we came back from Belgium. Graspop [Metal Meeting] is known to be one of the best metal festivals in the world, and again it truly was nice. Sunday was sort a reunion feeling when LAMB OF GOD and GOD FORBID were playing too. And SUICIDAL TENDENCIES. Saturday we managed to get to the festival in time to see JOURNEY. We played on Sunday, and the tent was really hot. But the crowd was amazing. Best Graspop show ever for us. On Friday we played Sweden, Gothenburg. MUNICIPAL WASTE guys were hanging out as did some of the IN FLAMES guys too. It was good to have beers with friends from past tours. Show was our best show ever played in Sweden, in my opinion. And I fell in love with summer — Gothenburg."

CHILDREN OF BODOM will return to North America this fall to headline a massive, month-long tour. The 20-city trek will launch on Friday, September 18 at Lupo's Heartbreak Hotel in Providence, Rhode Island and will run through October 14 in Honolulu, Hawaii. Support will come from THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER and SKELETONWITCH.

GENE SIMMONS Slams CARLOS SANTANA!

KISS bassist/vocalist Gene Simmons who's known for being a dick, is still getting his panties in a bunch over some lame comment Santana made 4 years ago! Simmons had some harsh words for Carlos Santana during a Thursday morning (June 11, 2009) interview on FOX5 News: Live In Las Vegas.

When asked about plans for an upcoming KISS album, Simmons talked of plans for a new tour and out of nowhere, took a swipe at Hard Rock headliner Santana! "It's time for us to go out and show the little boys how the big boys do it," the 59-year-old said. "I'm sick and tired of these bands like Carlos Santana looking at his shoes and thinking that's a rock concert. Get off the stage," Simmons said.

There has been an ongoing feud between Simmons and Santana since 2005 when Santana questioned Simmons' musical ability and labeled him "Las Vegas entertainment." (which is pretty funny because Santana's the one performing in Vegas!) Santana said, "Simmons is not a musician, he's an entertainer. (A musician is an entertainer idiot! ..just sayin') He went on to say, "A musician is John Coltrane, Bob Marley. KISS is Las Vegas entertainment, so he wouldn't know what music is anyway. That's why he wears all that stuff. A musician doesn't need the mask and the mascara. There's a difference between an entertainer and a musician." NEWS FLASH! Musicians are entertainers, if you expect to sell out shows you can't just stand there like a moron... just throwing that out there!

I think it's pretty funny that Simmons is still mad 4 years later over something so stupid! Obviously, Santana realizes how dumb he sounded after he made that idiot statement 4 years ago, due to the fact that musicians are entertainers! These two grown men are getting their panties in a bunch and acting like little girls! It's been 4 years Simmons, you're 60, look 70 and act like a 5 year old,  GET OVER IT!

BRET MICHAELS: Injury Photos Leaked!

Photos of Bret Michaels' nose fracture and busted lip, which he suffered after getting hit in the head by a set piece during Sunday's (June 7) Tony Awards, can be viewed above. The POISON singer and reality TV star's publicist Joann Mignano said Michaels received three stitches in his lip and had a CAT scan on Monday (June 8, 2009) as a precautionary measure.

Incase you're clueless to what happened to Brett Michaels recently, Here's the scoop! Michaels, star of the reality show "Rock of Love," took to the stage with his hair-metal band Poison during the telecast's opening production number, featuring performances from the season's Broadway musicals. They performed "Nothin' But a Good Time" with the cast of "Rock of Ages," and as Michaels exited the stage, a descending set piece came down and smacked him on the head, knocking his ass straight to the the ground!

Brett wasn't to happy about this and suffered minor wounds because of it! Lesson: These people who are moving this crap need to be a little more careful next time! Thank goodness he didn't break his nose. Brett can only have so much more plastic surgery before he starts to look like Michael Jackson... just sayin, just throwing that out there!

IRON MAIDEN Singer Forced To Take A Break Between Rocking & Flying!

Flight bosses banned qualified pilot and IRON MAIDEN frontman Bruce Dickinson from flying his band around on tour last year, fearing performing would leave him too tired. The band took a personalized Boeing 757 — dubbed Ed Force 1 — on their Somewhere Back in Time tour!

Dickinson, who flies for a commercial airline in his spare time, hoped to be behind the controls the whole way, as IRON MAIDEN took in 13 13 countries in five continents in just 45 days. Officials at the British Civil Aviation Authority forced him to take a 12-hour break between rocking and flying, meaning the band and their entourage had to rely on a co-pilot for many of the flights. Although Dickinson was disappointed, many of his crew were relieved. Bandmate Nicko McBrain says: "Some of the road crew were like, "What? After running around onstage, he is going to fly us back?"

AEROSMITH's WHITFORD To Sit Out Part Of Tour; Temporary Replacement Announced!

AEROSMITH guitarist, Brad Whitford will be sitting out for part of the band's upcoming Guitar Hero: Aerosmith tour dates! The tour is set to take place with special guests ZZ TOP as he recuperates from recent surgery. Bobby Schneck (who has played with GREEN DAY, WEEZER and SLASH) will be filling in for the guitarist. AEROSMITH regrets any inconvenience to its fans and thanks everyone for their support.

Steven Tyler and Joey Kramer of AEROSMITH confirmed during a June 2, 2009 appearance on the WZLX radio station in Boston, Massachusetts that they will play the whole "Toys In The Attic" album on their trek with ZZ TOP.

"Toys In The Attic", AEROSMITH's third album, was released in 1975 and is one of their most successful efforts to this day. It includes the classic singles "Walk This Way" and "Sweet Emotion", as well as "Adam's Apple", "Big Ten-Inch Record", "Round And Round", "Uncle Salty" and the title track.

GENE SIMMONS Sells Kidney Stone For Charity!

World Entertainment News Network reports that KISS bassist/vocalist Gene Simmons has raised $15,000 for a good cause — by selling a kidney stone he passed in a bizarre online auction. Eww, talk about disgusting!! I think I just threw up in my mouth!

Simmons reveals he recently suffered the ailment, but came up with a unique use for the solid formations of urinary minerals after passing it through his body. He says, "I passed a kidney stone and I put it on eBay for charity. (I got) $15,000."

While it's cool that Gene raised $15,000 for charity, it's pretty damn disgusting that someone would actually want a flipping passed kidney stone. That's just gross! What happened to putting a guitar or a t-shirt up for the highest bidder? Maybe next time he gets sick, he can put his vomit in a jar and sell it on e-bay for charity, now there's an idea!
