HED P.E: Van & Trailer Jacked, They Vow To Keep Touring!

Despite recently having their van and gear trailer stolen in Burbank, California by some ruthless douchbags; HED P.E. is out to prove they cannot be silenced!

The douchbags that pulled this little stunt, made off with thousands of dollars of gear and merchandise and they even jacked the bands tour van; yes the tour van...who does that, WTF! Somebody get out there and donate a tour van to these guys already! HED P.E's a good band damnit and they want to rock just as much as anyone! The band is forging on and has announced the second leg of their "New World Orphans" tour, alongside MOWER, DIRTBALL and DGAF, which will begin March 6, 2009 in Petaluma, California.

"Renegade", the new video from HED P.E., can be viewed below. The clip was shot in Los Angeles, California with directors Philip Carrier and Chad Archibald (ARISE AND RUIN) of Black Fawn Films.

Commented HED P.E. frontman Jared Gomes: "'Renegade' is a fight song. That's what HED P.E. is known for. Fighting the lies and fighting the powers that be. Already thousands of our fans have been logging into NewWorldOrphans.com to download and back the new single. The video features a story line that follows a punk-rock kid as he confronts adversity. Our band represents the orphans of the system and our new album, 'New World Orphans' (NWO), is another chapter in the book of truth. We use our music to open young minds and spark a deeper understanding of the world around us."

"New World Orphans" was released in three different versions, each featuring a different cover and four different bonus tracks which aren't available anywhere else! Each of the three versions also contains part of a hidden message that when deciphered allows fans to communicate directly with the band during HED P.E.'s tour, which all in all is pretty amazing!

All Virgin Megastores To Close!

Virgin Megastores are closing left and right and now their biggest stores in NYC and SF are going out of business!

The six-unit Virgin Megastore chain will close two more stores, the Union Square location in New York City at the end of May and the Market St. store in San Francisco at the end of April. All Virgin Megastores will be going out of business and are set to close. READ MORE

METALLICA Performs 'The Judas Kiss' For First Time; Pro-Shot Footage!

METALLICA is issuing a digital "box set" called "The Complete Metallica" that will feature the band's entire 163-track recorded catalog!

According to the band's publicist, the package will be available exclusively through iTunes beginning on March 31, before surfacing at all other digital outlets on April 28, 2009.

"The Complete Metallica" box set will include: all nine of METALLICA's studio albums, including the current "Death Magnetic", the 1998 covers collection "Garage Inc.", 1999's concert set "S&M", the 2004 EP "Some Kind of Monster", the 2007 EP "Live From Live Earth", and "I Disappear" from the 2000 "Mission Impossible 2" soundtrack. Buyers will also receive eight bonus live tracks: "The Four Horseman", "Whiplash", "For Whom The Bell Tolls", "Creeping Death", "Battery", "The Thing That Should Not Be", "One" and "Justice For All".

The set is expected to retail for under $100, so start saving!

'The Complete Metallica' will arrive just two days after the March 29, 2009 release of 'Guitar Hero: Metallica' and four days before the band is inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, Ohio on April 4, 2009.

In a recent interview with The Quietus, JUDAS PRIEST singer Rob Halford was asked what attracted his band to having such an interesting bill on "Priest Feast". "It was the fact that [MEGADETH and TESTAMENT are] both very special in their own way and very good at playing their own type of metal," he replied. "We're all totally different to each other and if you come and see that show you're going to get three brands of metal and you're going to see something special from each act. That's what we've tried to do on this 'Priest Feast'. A broad display of different styles."

JANE'S ADDICTION: Box Set Of Rarities!

According to Pitchfork, a limited-edition box set of JANE'S ADDICTION rarities, "A Cabinet of Curiosities", will be released on April 21, 2009. The rare box set will include: three CDs and one DVD in a wooden case.
 
The first disc will contain all JANE'S ADDICTION unreleased demos from 1986 and 1987. The second will include more demos, but also unreleased live tracks and beloved rarities covers of the GRATEFUL DEAD, THE STOOGES, and LED ZEPPELIN, as well as a version of SLY AND THE FAMILY STONE's "Don't Call Me N.gger, Whitey" that they did with Ice-T.

The DVD will include "Soul Kiss", the JANE'S documentary previously unavailable on DVD. It'll also feature the "Mountain Song" video that MTV banned in the USA and various other music videos and home movies from the bands personal collection. READ MORE

KORN Frontman Jonathan Davis Interview!

The Pulse of Radio reports that KORN is returning to work after nearly a year off with a series of festival appearances this spring and summer 2009.

The band will start with Columbus, Ohio's Rock On The Range event in mid-May before heading over to Europe. Singer Jonathan Davis gave The Pulse of Radio a simple reason for why the group has decided to end its break. "We just want to get out and play," he said. "Miss playing. We've been on a huge break, longest break we've had ever in our career, and I'm just getting itchy to play KORN shows. I mean, I've been out playing solo shows and doing stuff like that, but I wanna get out there onstage and do a KORN show and play for people and just do what I do."

KORN has been on hiatus since completing the touring cycle for its untitled eighth studio album, which came out in July 2007.

Davis also confirmed to The Pulse of Radio that the instrumental members of the band are in the studio now, writing new material for their ninth album. Recording and release dates are yet to be announced.

KORN is currently without a record label since completing its two-album deal with Virgin Records.

Davis has been working on music for his solo debut for several months now, although he is also not ready to announce a release date.

ROB ZOMBIE: "'H2' Will 'Blow Away' 'Halloween' Remake!"

Rob Zombie began principal photography on Monday (February 23) for his sequel to "Halloween", tentatively titled "H2".

The follow-up to the rocker-turned-director's 2007 hit remake of the horror classic is due out at the end of August. Zombie posted on his blog that, "we made it through the first three days. Everything is going great. This film is going to blow away my last trip to Haddonfield. Ultra-gritty, ultra-intense and very real. Here is a sneak peek [see below] of Laurie moments after being wheeled into the ER."

They're currently shooting the movie "H2" in Georgia.

Zombie said in one recent interview that the new film will focus less on serial killer Michael Myers and more on his sister, Laurie; played by Scout Taylor-Compton.

As for Rob Zombie himself, he recently finished recording his next studio album and plans to release the album in either late summer or early fall 2009.

WITHIN TEMPTATION is taking a break from touring, because there's a baby on the way!

You guessed it, WITHIN TEMPTATION singer Sharon den Adel is pregnant again! Sharon Del Adel and guitarist Robert Westerholt are expecting their second child this summer, so don't be expecting any hardcore tours this year because it's not gonna happen!

WITHIN TEMPTATION are kicking back, taking a break from touring during 2009 but don't get your boxers in a knot just yet! The band won't be doing any touring this year, but they will be continuing to work on, get this...brand new material! That means a new album's in the works, so keep your eyes peeled because it's due out no sooner then 2010!
