Charm City Devils is the newest and latest classic rock band to sign with one of America’s best record labels known as Eleven Seven Music; which was also awarded the #1 Independent Rock Label of 2008!
Charm City Devils is a band straight out of Baltimore, Maryland and was put together by vocalist, singer, song-writer John Allen in February of 2006. The band consists of frontman John Allen cranking it out on vocals, Jason Heiser getting down and dirty on the drums, Vic Karrera and Nick Kay rocking out on Guitar and Anthony Arambula kicking ass on Bass; put these five together and you have on hell of a band!
Rock and roll has been Allens passion since childhood and he’s no stranger to the music scene; he’s already been established as a recording/touring artist and songwriter as well as the drummer for rock band, SR-71. Allen planted the seeds that would become Charm City Devils in his basement studio. “I didn’t have much gear,” he recalls, “just good mics and real good preamps. But sometimes you write something and you know you have it, and that’s what happened with ‘Burn Baby Burn,’ which was the first song I wrote for this band. That song was a catalyst for me to become a singer. I felt good about my writing and my voice and decided to give it a go. The track on the CD is actually the rough mix. I liked the raw, garage sound, it worked for us and we kept that.”
When it came to finding the right musicians to become Charm City Devils, Allen said that part was easy. “I wanted guys who could play, first and foremost, who were seasoned but not too jaded; I wanted guys who were experienced but still hungry and could maintain the playing level that I’m comfortable with. The first guys I thought of were local Baltimore musicians Vic, Anthony, Nick and Jason. I knew that their playing would complement the songs I had written, that they would ‘get it’ and know where I was coming from.”
Charm City Devils released their debut album, appropriately titled, Let’s Rock-N-Roll January 14, 2009 on Eleven Seven Music, helmed by rock legend and label President Nikki Sixx. "When I first heard Charm City Devils, my initial thought, along with everyone at Eleven Seven, was this is a real rock band! When I listen to their music I hear elements of credible bands like, Aerosmith and AC/DC.” Said Sixx.
Charm City Devils is Nikki’s first band that he personally selected to sign to label, Eleven Seven. With that being said, if Charm City Devils sparked phenomenal rock legend Nikki Sixx with interest; it’s obvious there’s something special and unique about this new and up and coming band. “I like the fact that they’re from Baltimore and the way they relate the working mans experience. They’re not from New York or LA and you don’t hear many bands from Baltimore. These guys carry on tradition with their own relevant and modern sound with classic riffs.” Said Sixx.
Charm City Devils brings a brand new sound to the table, combining that classic rock feel with a fresh and interesting up beat rock vibe. They tend to grab your attention and stand out from many of the main-stream rock and roll bands we’re so usto hearing. They have some what of a Buckcherry vibe and that happy go lucky feel we all know and love. “This album comes from an emotional level. The lyrics are very honest; they’re pieces of my life, real things. Some are more sensitive and some deal with heavy issues, but they’re balanced out bringing fun, energetic songs that bring back some of that 1980s heyday of hard rock that audiences are longing for” Says vocalist John Allen.
"Getting it” is what led Allen and his band mates to Eleven Seven Music.
With songs like, “Let’s Rock-N-Roll” taking off as a hit single as well as a top add on Baltimore radio stations; It didn’t take long for Eleven Seven to add the group to its roster, alongside: Mötley Crüe, Sixx: A.M., Buckcherry, Trapt, Drowning Pool and more. “I’m a control freak and anytime you turn your music, image and everything over to an outside entity, you worry” said frontman John Allen. He went on to say, “I know that Eleven Seven understands who we are and what we do. We’re a perfect fit because our genre of music is their forte; they know how to bridge hard rock and the new generation of fans.”
In support of their debut release from Eleven Seven Music, Charm City Devils will be touring all around the globe in 2009 along side hard rock icons, Motley Crue and Buckcherry! In an industry filled with trends, fads, fashions, and flash-in-the-pan stories of “here today, gone tomorrow” there’s one thing that remains constant with Charm City Devils; their consistent love for pure, classic, hard rock and roll.

To offer a different perspective, I'm not sure that economics of transportation will ever drive us to become Locavores. Oil is but a sparse fraction of the cost of transport and distribution.
To me it is all about community and a healthy lifestyle. I would much prefer buying local even at higher cost because of the value to our community. And if we can get local volume over the threshold of economies of scale, then will be self sustaining. Unfortunately, Locavorism today is really on the fringe. In business terms, we need more market share - and then the economics will work too.

you will never tolerate the pain and suffering, the flames and cries of pain, will continue until the end of time. Has been very quiet, to give you love has been very quiet, you say you love like a cloud, to float freely until beautiful.....
Don't worry about looking handsome,Or being strong and brave.Just as you love me unconditionally,I
