Few bands were ever quite as over-the-top disgusting as Cannibal Corpse, which has been in business since the late 80s, delivering album after album of visceral, vile, and vulgar music. Fans love them!!! They've stuck with the crazy formula and it works! It's kept them popular for almost 2 decades now. Things started slowly for the band, but they had developed a following a few albums in, and even appeared as the metal band in Ace Ventura: Pet Detective.
In order to live Cannibal Corpse you have to pretty much accept that the whole thing is an act, their music is so dark it would give Satan nightmares! Their songs are about just about every disgusting subject matter you could think of, which is why their fans respond the way they do. When it comes to their music, there's no abandon, no restraint, just pure hedonistic output! They're completely different lets just put it that way, kinda almost like Marilyn Manson in an even crazier turned hardcore metal kind of way. When you're in the right mood-preferably angry or on some kind of rampage, a Cannibal Corpse album may be just the ticket, so you might want to keep one handy!
